US Marine with CHL Fatally Shoots Robber in NE Harris County

You probably have heard of the occasional Vet, fighting off badguys in a sandwich shop or something similar. Here is yet a fellow Marine, who did what he knew was right and handled things correctly.

You may have heard where Chili’s and Sonic have a new “No Gun” policy for customers that are released this week. Then, this happened, (all robbed & just the beginning) go figure.

It’s funny how the above businesses have this new “rule” and may even post “No Gun signs”  on their premises. Guess what, even if they have one of those really serious big voice “No Gun” signs posted, unless it is one of these, they are geberish and you are not breaking the law if you have a weapon with you even with the big scary “No Gun” sign posted. Sorry, Chilies & Sonic, it’s the law and yes, you have to follow it too smushy. Time for a C-Gar

If a licensed individual were to be hauled into court and have to spend time and money defending themselves from an invalid 30.06 sign, they would likely sue both the arresting officer and the store owner for damages to cover both  court expenses, and lost time.

Those "scary" guns

Reporters, ha, I can tell you, they are almost as bad as lawyers; the only time they lie is when their mouth is open. I’ve had some “not so good” experience with reporters in Iraq/Afg. Usually it was the cry baby, why are we here reporter that wanted to get “embedded” with guys at the front. Ha! They usually got more than they bargained for. Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it.

You can read some of those experiences here but back to the article, it’s totally ridicules to think guns kill people. I have spent the majority of my career around weapons and not once did I see them go off without human involvement. Go figure, we better address that “spoon” issue in the article too, its sounds really, really dangerous! Time for a C-Gar

Military Veterans Receive Letters From VA Prohibiting Ownership or Purchase of Firearms...

Ok, I’ll bite, I had dismissed this email/website (very bottom of this post)as soon as I read it. Then, numerous emails came into my inbox asking me if this was legit. My findings, no, the VA isn’t hammering vets to take away their guns. No Marines, sailors I know on the east or left coast or even veterans out of the service have received these as the email promulgates its mass distribution.

Did this person actually get this letter from the VA? Perhaps, and perhaps he needs to be restrained from firearms, I don’t know his situation. What I do know, is this should not prevent any warrior that needs help from getting it. If your a reader and you know of the "masses" recieving these and could put me in touch with them, then I may change my mind. However, until then, I would say this is a far and few situation.

This post is to give you the reader all of the info to make an educated decision)  They sky isn’t falling, not yet at least.

What is an Assault weapon? Part two

I posted here an introduction of what an assault weapon is. You hear it on the news, congressman/women and government officials use the term like it’s the coolest thing since sliced bread. But, guess what, I bet 99% of them have no clue what an assault weapon actually is. I can just see it now where some pimple faced spineless intern is handing their representative a cup of coffee that they bought for them to kiss their ass and is spewing their definition of an “assault weapon” to their boss to look “smart”.

“yes, congressmen, an assault weapon is the gun used in my video game Medal of Honor, they are those m16s that everyone has nowadays. Why do they call that game Medal of Honor any way, the game has nothing to do with metal.”

(watch the below video - it will get you thinking)

What is an assault weapon? Its about rights people

What is an assault weapon? Is an AK-47 an assault weapon? Is a revolver an assault weapon? I hear many, many people who throw around the term “assault weapon” and I have to ask myself, do they even know what one is? Our own government hasn’t defined what an assault weapon is since 1994.

In 1994, Congress passed and President Bill Clinton signed into law a ban on some semi-automatic rifles and handguns that were deemed “assault weapons.” Defining the term was tricky then and remains controversial today.

“If gun control actually did work, Washington, D.C. and Chicago would be the safest cities in your nation. But [they are] not, they have the toughest gun laws and the highest crime and murder rates,”

Its about your rights! Motto Monday

Dr Susan Gratia-Hupp, survivor of the 1991 Kileen, TX Luby's shooting massacre, testifies against the 1991 assault weapons ban.(Great video and she nails home the meaning of  2nd amendment in the last 10 seconds of the video)

As you may be aware, the Gov wants to restrict, deny or some may even say constrain the type of weapon you as an American can have.

(1) severly RESTRICT the scope, extent OF ACTIVITY
(2).. to compel or FORCE one toward a particular course of action

As the Supreme Court heard arguments for and against the Chicago, IL Gun Ban,

this man offered you another stellar example of a letter (written by Marko Kloos),

that places the proper perspective on what a gun means to a civilized society.

Interesting take and one you don't hear much. . . . . .

Read this eloquent and profound letter and pay close attention to the
last paragraph of the letter....

Israel gets it, why doesn't America?

(Look - the US Army at schools back in 2011) Teachers tour: Giving educators greater insight into military life

Posting THIS & THIS, it was a reasonable response to a few items like, let’s see, 20,000 Marines being fired in Feb, massive unemployment in the US (compounded with at least 20,000 in Feb and sequential months of military personnel being dismissed) nut jobs shooting up schools and the current state of America. I can tell you, being overseas and looking at America, we have some serious issues and other countries are pointing and laughing because they see America falling, fast.

What will America look like tomorrow?

You know what’s coming. Look, the past events I’ve heard that are happening in the States are terrible, tragic and should never happen. However gang, just because a person cant get a gun doesn’t mean there wont be mass murderers. There will be murders with or without guns. This is like saying we blame cars because of drunk drivers killing people.
