CLARITY ON MARINE SECURITY FORCE DEPARTURE FROM YEMEN

Not that I agree with it, here is som gouge. HEADQUARTERS MARINE CORPS, WASHINGTON — The Marine Security Force left the American embassy in Yemen for the movement to the airfield as part of the "ordered departure" with only personal weapons. All crew served weapons were destroyed at the embassy prior to movement. None of them were 'handed over' in any way to anyone. The destruction of weapons at the embassy and the airport was carried out in accordance with an approved destruction plan. Upon arrival at the airfield, all personal weapons were rendered inoperable in accordance with advance planning. Specifically, each bolt was removed from its weapons body and rendered inoperable by smashing with sledgehammers. The weapons bodies, minus the bolts, were then separately smashed with sledgehammers. All of these destroyed components were left at the airport -- and components were scattered; no usable weapon was taken from any Marine at Sana'a airport. To be clear: No Marine handed a weapon to a Houthi, or had one taken from him. Here is another version of the story: http://www.military.com/daily-news/2015/02/11/marines-surrender-weapons-before-yemen-evacuation.html#.VN5tfy_Lf-c.mailto

US Marines sent to Syria?

A group of United States Marines is taking part in the yearly military exercise known as "Eager Lion" in Jordan, a country that borders Syria. Just yesterday, President Obama said he would increase military aid to Syrian rebels as a consequence of the nation using chemical weapons on its own people, according to the Associated Press.

Sent to Syria? Not directly but the 26th MEU is participating in the exercise (Eager Lion) in Jordan. I say again, A Marine Expeditionary Unit  (MEU) is already on the ground in Jordan (next to Syria). Now, this exercise has been planned for some time as the Asoc press reads but know, it would be very easy to left turn into Syria, in a blink of an eye. Why do countries get so damn scared when US Navy ships are seen of the horizon? Because they are full of Marines, that’s why.

Although the exercise isn’t planned to go long, the US will leave some F16s & Patriot Missiles in Jordan. In case you didn’t know, F16 & Patriots are not, never been will never be apart of a MEU and thus this was planned in parallel. (I smell a "no fly zone" building) .

Your warriors are always in the middle of something. If there is trouble, and people need help, it isnt unusual to find Marines. Thats just how we are. America's 911 Force!

Time for a C-Gar

Top brass crush career of Army officer who warned of jihadists

DOOLEY_alert_photo_combat
In light of the recent terrorist bombing in Boston, national attention is refocused on the case of TMLC client, Army LTC Matthew Dooley.  In 2012, Dooley was fired from the National Defense University’s Joint Forces Staff College for teaching an elective course on Radical Islam because it was offensive to Muslims.

The Distinguished Warfare Medal - comming to a drone hooch near you

BS

You know when your kid registers to join a team sport, ya know like soccer or whatever else non-contact touchy feely sport and they give trophies at the end of the year even though the team sucked and didn’t win a freaking game? Vomit. “We want everyone to feel like winners” a coach told me when I asked why they were getting trophies. I just stood there and looked at him with my cigar in my mouth and thought to myself, “you got beat up a lot as a kid didn’t you”.

Get Over It! We Are Not All Created Equal

Female di
The Marine Corps tested females in front line combat units aka Infantry. The Marine Corps did not lower the standard and allowed females to participate and qualify for the infantry officers course. The Marine Corps passed to congress and higher that it would not be a good idea ton implement women into the infantry. What does the Marine Corps know?  They only have been fighting our nations wars, that's all. Well, to already cluster strike an idea that apparently everyone in the room already knows the results except those in DC, a female Marine gives her two cents. But hey, it’s only another Marine telling everyone, it’s a bad idea. Let’s do it anyway!!! Brilliant.

What whoop asss looks like - Combat Update

2119hte
An M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank, with Alpha Company, 1st Tank Battalion, moves into position during a firefight in the town of Zamindawar, May 27, 2012. The tanks support Marines with 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment during Operation Jaws.

In 2011 The Marines Corps implemented tanks into Afghanistan. There wasn’t an enemy tank threat, the tanks were simply used to direct fire into the enemy when mortars or close air support couldn’t while at the same time minimizing civilian casualties.  Try being a bad guy, shooting at Marines and having a tank respond to your machinegun fire(chew on that bad guys).

In the second picture you will see Marines. This is what the inside a can of whoop ass looks like. They are dirty, mean and  combat proven. Notice many of the weapons are condition one (magazine loaded) because they are ready to fight even within their outpost which is most likely shared by Afghan Army.
