Marines in dress blues thwart suspected phone thieves

It's kinda like having your father always around and you better do the right thing because if you don't, your gonna know it. The petty thieves that stole some phones didn't keep that in mind as they stole some phones then realized three Marines were after them. Classic!

Reminds me of this article in the paper:

Yet, this year there is another example it doesn't pay to do bad things around Marines....unless that includes strip joints, smoking cigars, and well drinking. Time for a C-Gar

That’s the lesson three suspected cell phone thieves learned Dec. 22 when they targeted victims at a mall in Westland, Michigan, about 20 miles west of Detroit. What they didn’t know was that three local Marines home for temporary recruiting duty were there working. Read full story here

Merry Christmas America

This is written from a deployed warriors point of view. Get some eggnog and read through it, then go hug your spousel unit (wife or hubby), kids and even that uncle that you dont understand.Remember your warriors are still at war! I finally get a break from the shopping! We have been running around every mall crowded people everywhere trying to find that particular gift. This place is really crowded. Now we are finished, can we relax now? Are we done shopping for the day? If I have to play lead blocker through the mall anymore or sit outside another dressing room I’m gonna die. No puke, no puke then die. We will probably go out to dinner tonight get some chow maybe go for a walk. I sit here and can smell the new Christmas tree, so fresh and nice, with white lights and all kinds of cherished ornaments on it which we have been keeping for some time. Tada the tree is done, another master piece! Ok not by me but I supplied plenty of support and encouragement. The weather is nice and holiday spirit is everywhere. These bowls of candy around the house are going to turn me into a big fat a$$, its ok I’ll go a little further next time I run. We head out for dinner, to the local steak house.

6 Americans killed in Bagram. There is a reason why it happened.

If you look since this administration has begun, the war on terrorism in Iraq was surrendered as the president made the call to withdraw troops, the war in Afghanistan is in a stalemate as warriors sit on forward operating bases instead of putting isis on its heels like it was before this administration took over.

The enemy and threat were in retreat mode in Afghanistan & Iraq before this administration took office and never a consideration was given of possible isis attacks ever happening here in America. The enemy like that in Iraq would be eliminated by now if we kept the pedal pressed. The mighty military power of the United States was reducing the enemy day by day in the counter insurgency war, now, not so much. Before you decide to conflict that point, unless you have been there and have made a difference yourself you are then basing your opinion on something you have read or were told so respond accordingly.

However, now the isis influenced attacks here in America are at a number never expected while your servicemembers in Afghanistan are restricted to bases for the most part, don’t patrol actively, don’t have the same operation tempo as before and are equally restricted by rules of engagement set by this administration. That is not how you win wars in a counter insurgency, that’s how you get your servicmembers killed.

These warriors were attacked and killed because we have taken our foot off the attack pedal in Afghanistan. These warriors blood is on this administration hands.

Being away from your family sucks, being deployed during the holidays sucks even more. Remember them this holiday season as they are caught in the middle of not stopping children from being raped and killing bad guys to having to somehow complete an unbelievable mission this administration has designed. If this administration really wanted us to win, it would be like it was before they came into office, but everyone knows, that’s not going to happen. Time for a C-Gar

A suicide bomber on a motorbike carried out the attack on a joint patrol of Afghan and coalition forces at about 1:30 p.m. in the Bajawri area of Bagram district, said Waheed Sediqi, a spokesman for the governor of Parwan province.

Two other U.S. service members and an American contractor were also wounded, officials said.

The area is close to the U.S. base in the Bagram district of northern Parwan province.

The last time six U.S. service members were killed was October 2, when their C-130J Super Hercules aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Jalalabad Airfield, Afghanistan.

On July 8, 2012, six U.S. soldiers were killed after an improvised explosive device attack in Maidan Shahr, Wardak province, Afghanistan. Read full story here

While Obama was on the course, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest released a statement in response to the attacks. “We express our deepest condolences to the families of the six U.S. service members killed and to all of those injured in today’s Taliban attack near Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and their loved ones,” the statement read, adding that the United States condemned the “cowardly attack.”

Later in the day, Obama allowed reporters on the course to observe him make a chip shot on the 18th hole. After successfully making the shot, Obama raised both arms in triumph, and turned and pointed in the direction of the reporters on the course.

Two Marines In The Path Of A Truck Bomb - They leaned in

I guess around holidays I think about it the most, why or how I did multiple deployments to Iraq & Afghanistan and didn’t come back with more than a scratch and a wicked heat rash. Ya, I had many close calls, the kind of close calls where two or three next to you get hit and you, nothing. That’s usually when I check my body parts for holes, then with an adrenalin laugh think, how the hell did they miss me?

Two warriors that didn’t even have a chance to think my thoughts were in Ramadi in the same shit city I was in and about 3 months later this heroic event happened. Sure, we had been motored, rocketed, hit with IEDs and occasional sniper fire in the region, however, this was different. You may have read Gen Kelly’s story before but trust me, no American can read it enough. Get ya a cup of coffee and as you read the below, think about what lead up to this event, what they were thinking and just how much America knows about its Marines. Time for a C-Gar

Five years ago, two Marines from two different walks of life who had literally just met were told to stand guard in front of their outpost's entry control point.

Minutes later, they were staring down a big blue truck packed with explosives. With this particular shred of hell bearing down on them, they stood their ground.

Heck, they even leaned in.
