The Super Bowl! (in monster truck voice) Yes, its that time of the year when all of the guys in America are both happy that it’s time for the Super Bowl and sad because we know there is no more football until Aug. Regardless who you are pulling for (I know, the Cowboys didn’t make it…..again….don’t get me started) many will be watching the game and yes the commercials. My last deployment we got up at 0300 to watch the game, freezing our butts off and getting to watch Armed Forces network “safety commercials”. There is a contradictory in terms. While you enjoy the lead up to the game, review some of the info below and when you’re watching the game and they cut to to those warriors overseas watching the game, remember them and a little prayer for them wouldn’t hurt either.

WHERE: The 47th Super Bowl will take place in New Orleans, LA at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
WHEN: Super Bowl XLVII will
kickoff at 6:30pm ET on February 3, 2013.
Superbowl 43 starts 6pm EST which is GMT-5 (5 hours behind Greenwhich
Mean Time). Local time in Kabul, Afghanistan is GMT+4:30 (4 and a half
hours ahead of GMT) meaning a total of 9 and a half hours difference.
Assuming it airs live in Kabul it will start at the ungodly time of 3:30
in the morning
TEAMS: For the first time in Super Bowl history, two brothers will face off against each other as head coaches. National Anthem: Alicia Keys will sing the national anthem. Keys has stated that she will not perform the song traditionally and will instead perform it as if it were "a brand new song."On January 30, the NFL announced that the Sandy Hook Elementary School chorus will sing "America the Beautiful" before the game.
Half Time show: (hopefully not lip synced ahem) Beyonce
