The Obama administration’s proposed defense budget calls for military families and retirees to pay sharply more for their healthcare, while leaving unionized civilian defense workers’ benefits untouched. The proposal is causing a major rift within the Pentagon, according to U.S. officials. Several congressional aides suggested the move is designed to increase the enrollment in Obamacare’s state-run insurance exchanges.
There are heroes everywhere. Many never get the credit they deserve, like those that do deployments and perhaps never do anything to be awarded but behind the scenes, unknown to the majority, are doing small things that have huge impacts. These are your heroes America. I’ve said it before, they aren’t your traditional Americans, they are Marines.
This is not your typical American. This is the warrior who has done multiple deployments volunteered for his country and whose family is still living from pay check to pay check in base housing and damn glad to have it along with all of the nice to have items so many Americans take for granted.
