He SO deserves this honor, and much more. I saw a cartoon on facebook of a kid who threw out his Superman poster, and was admiring a Navy SEALS poster :D

Lt Michael Murphy graduated from the Same High School my boys did....They were in the HS when the school honored him and the United States Navy Parachute team jumped and landed on the football field...hmmmmm wonder if that got my boys thinking about joing the USMC...here is the link if you'd like to see the pictures of that day.
It was a pretty awesome day!

He has long been one of my heroes. I'm so pleased that he is being honored in this way. Thank you for sharing!

I have a question.

I can understand and respect that Michael and his team did not want to kill the goat horders who walked up on their hiding spot. However, how about disabling them temporarily. Doesn't the military have such a reserve? That is for the Seals to have administered some kind of shot or pill that would make the shephards unable to move or sleep until they were done w/their mission.

thank you.

Thanks again for a sobering, yet real, post.

I wonder the same thing everyday. They keep me motivated. I figure if they can do what they do what I have to do is no big thing.
