Independence

I’m not sure about you, but here in the “free states” of America I like being the bad ass country we use to be. Sure it’s great to go to the aide of weaker countries when no one else will help or cant. Sure, it’s awesome to allow anyone to come to this country (legally) as this is what makes America special.

But tell me if I’m wrong here but back when we told the British monarchy to shove it and began our own country, that’s when America was cut to the point a great country and began the road to bad ass avenue.

Prep fires for the 4th of July-THE PLEDGE

I - - Me and all that is me; a person; a commission of one. An American.

Pledge - - My word of honor, give all that is mine selflessly and freely.

Allegiance - - My duty, my obligation, my job. Loyalty.

To the Flag - - Our flag, the American symbol that represents freedom and demands respect to all who see it. The white that represents purity and eternity, the blue embodies the deepness of the American spirit and the red show the never-ending brave and determined heart of its men and women who have defended it. 

United - - One American Team, One American Fight. Regardless of race, gender, or where you were born. All moving in the same direction.

States - - Fifty united areas that govern and work differently from each other but come together for the same cause and country.

And to the Republic - -An organization chosen freely by the people to serve the people with a supreme power to help the people. With the people to the government, not the government to people.

For which it stands – proud of all that it represents

One Nation - - One Country, UNDER GOD.

Indivisible - - impossible of separation.

With

Liberty

- -

Independence

, freedom to do as one wishes without being decapitated or killed.

And Justice - - The integrity or impartiality you deserve.

For All - - For All, not just one group, but everyone period.

Everything happens for a reason

It’s hard not to wonder why an event happened or why something that you thought was going to happen didn’t.  There were many times while deployed I thought…why? Why do these young children have to live like this or why did that Marine walk where he did when he got wounded? We would reassure new Marines in our own Marine fashion by telling them, “focus on your job, don’t become complacent and when it’s your time, it’s your time, you’re not going to stop it so why worry about it?”

We don’t promise you a rose garden on Tuesday either…

Monday has come and gone. What was your response as you looked yourself in the mirror before you hit the rack? Only you can answer that one.  In case it wasn't exactly like you wanted there are ways to help yourself get to where you want to be.

So its Monday…..sniff boohoo …stop yer blood clot crying and FOCUS damn it. Yes I know you are thinking you are the least productive right now and this and that and frankly no one wants to hear your moaning. Suck it up sally and get to work.

Forces in Afghanistan Kill, Capture Insurgents

KABUL, Afghanistan, June 25, 2010 - An Afghan-international security force killed several insurgents, including Faizullah, a Taliban subcommander, as the insurgents were planting a roadside bomb near Kandahar City in Afghanistan yesterday.

The Good Guys in the long range fight

Throughout my last few deployments to Afg & Iraq I have seen the local military grow and proper which results a direct monitor of the progress of that country. My first deployment to Afg, there was little sign of an Afg Army. Now current time the Afghan National Army (ANA) has prospered and is recruited, trained and taught by US forces.
