Things are good, and getting better in the local area. Since we have pushed the bad guys out and kept the area under Coalition Influence, the enemy threat & intimidation campaign has come to a standstill. Imagine your everyday actions followed up with a threat that if you do decide to go to lunch for an hour today, even though you deserve it , we will kill your family member…..hmmm, last time I checked, that sucks. How about if you don’t work overtime for free and also come in on the weekends (need my stapler) the bad guys will take everything you own and….yip you guessed it kill your family members….nope not too fond of that either. That’s the type of life style your Marines have ended because of their bravery and constant pressure on the enemy.
We have fought our way in through IED chains, small arms fire and RPG ambushes and in the end, the enemy runs like scared dogs or they can die for their country. The winner is the local nationals that have been forced to live in misery and under intimidation. Now as we reinforce our efforts with civil affair projects, wells, wheat seed implementation etc, that will capitalize on the momentum of the clearing of the area, the enemy will not be able to regain the momentum and the average local national becomes stronger and stronger and they typical scumbag bad guy continues to become weaker.
Add two scoops of sugar and booya, you have the recipe for success. It just takes time America. Sure we can bomb them into the stone age, but then we will spend years rebuilding.
Time for a stoagy…

Great work MP!

Once again, a Thank You and a big OOH-RAH for what you and your Marines are doing to bring stability to these peoples lives. Once someone tastes liberty, it's pretty hard for them to return to the old way, and that is the best thing that you can give them. Keep up the good work. Semper Fi.
