Thank You for your sacrifice and service. I'm sorry that we have been diplomaticly unable to prevent these wars.

I cannot relate to you in words the pain that comes to me each year at this time. Pain for our fallen and pain for the innocent civilians that always get in the way and are destroyed.

Thank you for your service for us all Major!
I always think of this poem by John McCrae on Memorial Day...seems to sum it all up!

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields

Thank you, Major.

I just found this blog. My blog is not military, but I have written a
Memorial Day Tribute today.

Thank you so much for serving, Major P! I appreciate it more than I can ever say! I'm sorry America hasn't given you as much thanks as you deserve. I have not forgotten about you and every other person who has fought and served so that I could have the freedom that I have today.

God bless!

Our country is awesome because of the dedication of men and women who serve and defend the Constitution, our freedom.
If Congress and the President could only get the message!!!
