What a great post-thank you for sharing it with us! I always wish that everyone sees our military men and women in that light. I liked what his dad said about seeing police officers, firemen and other rescue workers in the same way; my brother is a cop and people always say how they dislike the police or "don't they have anything better to do than write tickets," etc...but they sure like him well enough when they need him to help them! :)

My son just join the Marines. I'm so touched by this story. God bless you for such a fine son, God bless your son for being so good, so brave.
You are in my prayers.

I read this touching story and pulled the pictures my nephew sent me from his two tours in fallujah. He is one marine who watched children at night forced to carry ammunition and guns around the town. The marines knew these same munitions would be used against them and their brothers the next day but did not fire.I have a picture of an old man holding the hand of a little 4yr old girl during the battle of fallujah, marines all around buildings blown up and these marines paused to help.We are a very proud country thanks to Luke and his Band of Brothers. When poloticians and such ask the question was the sacrafices worth it?Only Luke,my nephew, the Major or their brothers can answer that question. When I asked my nephew why he joined he just said,it was the right thing to do.You raised a fine young man.Thank you.God Bless

Major, do you have any ideas about the best way to stop the "oil pirates" off the coast of Africa from seizing more oil tankers?
