Know they have the guard force up and ready. God Bless them all!
We should honor those soldiers and other military personnel in their service for our country.
I'll add them to my prayer.

All I have to say is "Holy Cow". That was pretty intense. I'm going to ask a non-military person question, how close do you think the Taliban fighters were to their position. One of the things I have learned listening to veterans, regarding mortars, is that the steeper the angle of the tube, the closer the enemy. That mortar tube looked pretty upright, not much of an angle.

Too damn close. Notice one of the asst gunners had to fire his M16? Not a really good thing.......Nonetheless, it resulted in dead bad guys.
