As I sit here in tears after reading the entry marked
Published September 21 I am finding it difficult to express the words that seem to be stuck in my throat.

For a 'Warrior' who understood all the reasons for undertaking the war on terror to those who are being destroyed by the terrorist way of doing business.

He understood our faults and spoke of how well many of us known as supporters were trying to make certain that the world knew that the supporters did NOT like what was being presented by those who were known as the nay-sayers.

His humble joy at receiving and sharing the care packages from those that cared about the troops whether they were American, British, or Afghan was extremely well stated.

I understand that he will be missed by those who he was helping to train, those who he was working beside and especially by those few Afghans who were calling him friend.

To his parents....Tears and words of regrets will never be able to express to you how much I am sorrowed at your lost of such a fine and promising son.
May the joy and laughter that you shared with him during his growing years and the years of his adulthood ease the pain of grief by bringing a smile to your face, mind, and heart each time you think of him.

Capt. Bruno de Solenni may you find the peace you so wished for in this world as you stand on the Streets of Heaven with the Warriors who you called friends and brothers.

To all who have served, our nation cannot begin to thank you for your sacrifice. To those who lost loved ones, may God's grace comfort you until you see them again. To our nation, may we wake up to the realization that evil exists and wants to kill us. Thanks be to God for the brave men and women who serve. I honor your sacrifice. I will not forget. Ever.

Bruno passed away one year ago today. He was a GREAT man and a great friend. Today, here in Iraq, five of us who were friends with him met for a breakfast in memory of Recon DeSo. I miss him dearly and wish he was still here with us. I posted two of his photo's today at our HQ building to remind us all of the sacrifice he made. DeSo, you are not forgotten by us and never will be!!!

Bruno aka Recon DeSo still remains on my mind as I journey through life. I was reminiscing with a few friends yesterday in his memory about some of the good times we used to have together. He is still missed. Sometimes we used to hang out at the Tally Ho and at Angelo’s Pizza and simply talk about life. You are missed my brother. Peace, Recon Ranger.
