FLY YOUR FLAG!

Sent from Cathy B

Pretty sad we need a 'reminder' to fly the flag I think. Ours has been flying and will never quit. I do remember one day, driving to work right after 9-11 and becoming overcome with emotion as I drove down Sprinkle Road seeing all the flags flying.

At one point in time, I even pulled over because it was to hard to drive. It was so amazing to see all of them, now I wonder, WHERE ARE THEY? It shouldn't just be around the anniversary that people get their flags out, and it shouldn't be that a reminder is needed to ever fly the flag......but it is a start I guess. If you do not have your flag out, please do so. If you don't have a flag, please consider getting one. If yours is all tattered and worn, please get a beautiful new one to show. Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign and PLEASE forward this email immediately to everyone in your address book asking them to also forward it. We have a little less than one week and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America . If you forward this email to least 11 people and each of those people do the same...you get the idea. THE PROGRAM IS THIS! Never Forget!!! On Monday, September 11th, 2007, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States . Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this fifth anniversary of our country's worst tragedy. We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms. In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds. Action Plan: So, here's what we need you to do... (1) Forward this email to everyone you know (at least 11 people). Please don't be the one to break this chain. Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you. (2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.

No need to remind this house to fly the flag. It flys PROUDLY every day Major. Will certainly pass along this link to all in my email addy book.

Yes...sad to need to remind Americans to fly our symbol of freedom.

Unfortunately as you have painfully pointed out sir the flaggs have disappeared and so has the support for our troops. With the elections growing nearer some people think flying the flag means you support the war or the republican party. It is a darn good thing we have people like yourself and others on the web to just remind others we have brothers still in this fight against terrorism..Have a good holiday Maj and God Bless our soldiers in harms way and their families.. Semper Fi

Sir thanks for all that you do. My US and MC flags fly proudly every day.
Sir as a former sgt of Marines it pains (no pun intended) to inform you sir that it is the sixth year anniversary of 9-11-2001.
I will NEVER forget that day.

My flag is out as it is everyday. Thanks, Maj.

Mine is still flying daily. It's flown enough that I have to replace it this week, due to the fading. You and all our military are so much appreciated, Maj. Hope y'all know it!

Odd how it is that my grand daughter goes into the AIR FORCE this 9-11-07 I hope she doesn't get stationed with her dad CAPT. HARLEY, it will be like never leaving home. I salute all our young people that give up their young fun filled lives to serve our country.HATS OFF AGAIN,(OOPS I MEAN COVERS )
MAJOR P, WHERE IS DON HO?

My flags - both the Stars and Strips and the USMC colors - fly proud and when the weather is bad and at night, they are crossed in the front window.

When my son came home on R&R, the first thing he did was post them out. (I had left before dawn that morning.) I about bawled.

You've got another whole family committed to this. I have a flag hanging up every day! Our family also supports a unit of the Navy-Marines in Fallujah through anysailor.com. There is no way we will ever forget!

My Flag flies daily. Never forget.

I have always flown my flag and even when someone stole mine I had hanging since 911, it was replaced. Never forget!!
I have pass this message on, so others will remember what they might have taken for granted and so they might too remember...to fly their flag.
God Bless Our Soldiers!!
