Laura, Marine mom from Ohio

Thanks Maj for a great story. My son is with the CLB-6. The Iraqi civilians are doing a great job and want to "take care of things". What progress! Our Marines are working long hours and are doing a great job. MARINES ROCK!

God bless your son Laura. I got one over there not to far from yours. Heard from my cousin who is there also. Appears his detachment of Army got into a dustup south of Baghdad. The way I hear it a Female Soldier manned a machine gun and cleaned house. When the engagement was over things got quiet until she blurted out "Hell yes. I kicked ass." I love it. Made my day. On my son's last deployment he got a Helo ride to the Freedom Bird. He and his pals were making fun of the door gunners. Turns out they were gals. It is a wonder they did not throw the guys off the Helo. The guys did not know because gals wore helmuts. When they landed the gals took off the helmuts and threw the guys gear out of the Helo. The guys had nothing else to say. My hat is off to all the Female troops. They put up with a lot of stuff. They serve as valiantly as the men. God bless all of our troops.

Thats just the coolest thing ever. Move in under cover of darkness, set-up, and when the bad guys wake up they see their new neighbors. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when those asshats look out he window and see all those Marines. "Habeebbeebab, come quick, the Marines are here, start packing"

Texasdillo: tell your son thank you, I'm sure he is working hard & concrete bob: you can bet they are afraid of the Marines. God Bless Our Troops!

Greg Springman

This is a great site. My son is a Navy Corpsman, Scott Springman, currently in Fallujah assigned to 2/6 Marines, F Company. I talk to him on the phone when time allows, and like any parent, I worry about the "man he has became" and the things we are accomplishing in IRAQ. I would personally like to thank the person who took the time to create this site. Also, I would like to thank all of our young men and women who have sacrificed their time, well being and their safety to protect ours here at home. Scott, if you see this, I love you and I'm very proud of you and can't wait until you're home safe. You're missed. Again, thank you for this site, It gives some basic informtion and shows that our Marines and Sailors are making a difference and their eforts are not thrown to the wind. Marines and Sailors of 2/6 Marines, F Company, thank you for your sacrifice and all of you guys come home safe to your familes. Thank you, A Loving Parent.

Greg, being a former MARINE in NAM with 2/7 I personally know the value of a CORPSMAN,the unsung, hidden HERO.Can you picture one man running around the battle field tending to the wounded, under fire at that.
NAVY CORPSMEN,MY HEROES.

Thanks Laura. I will pray for the safe return of your son.
Greg, God bless your son. I will pray for his well being and safe return. The Marine behind this website goes by Major Pain. I hope he sees your post. I know he will appreciate your kind words. He has been to Iraq and Afghanistan. Look at the archives in upper right for older post. There is a wealth of information there. Welcome aboard Greg. I have watched the Major for nearly 2 years here. He has done many good things in support of Marines, families, wounded warriors, and kids. Behind the tough Marine exterior is a big heart. I am proud to call him mentor and friend.

Matt Sanchez

Hey Devil, did I see you over there during the Operation? I've written on the same thing.
