XM recreates D-Day radio coverage in real-time

  Next Wednesday, June 6th, XM will air a unique special that re-creates the radio coverage of D-Day, with archival reports from NBC’s original radio news bulletins of the invasion. (This would be a great "In School" project for any teacher) Thanks Wolf!

Making a difference

Just when we have atrocities committed against our warriors here in the states on Memorial Day, this Soldier feels the true meaning and has a young member demonstrate his thankfulness. They say we aren’t making a difference……

AMERICA DOESNT FORGET!

As Memorial Day approaches, don’t look back on Tuesday and go “I wish I would have done this or that”. Do something special this Memorial Day that recognizes those who have gone before us to make a difference. Don’t look at it as a chance to have a three day weekend to go camping but a special day to acknowledge those who help America what it is today. Below is a post I wrote a time back. This Memorial Day is the first one I have been home at since I deployed to Afghanistan for 8 mos, then Iraq for a year. A lot has happened in that time, to me, my family and my fellow Marines but I haven’t forgotten.

Fighting For Life

  I was recently invited to attend the primer showing of “Fighting For Life”. A great documentary that every American needs to see. What every American needs to know, not only about the dedication of the people that are fighting but those who are saving them. I would tell my Marines, we are attacking and they would be encouraged that they would survive because of the greatest medical teams standing by to treat them if they were injured. Read more HERE.
