The type of American that were held up as the example of why globally, America was looked upto a leader in Decency and Christian moral virtues.
it seems these values are under attack from within and without, a huge shame.

Can't watch it enough. Saw it a couple of days ago on another blog. Couldn't wait to fire off a letter to Congressman Johnson. HE'S my hero for sure. Bless him and thank YOU for sharing him with more people via your blog.

Words just can't express enough of what a great speech he presented and how much this country needs to heed his warnings and take his advice. WELL SAID!

Wow! I have always been Democrat. But am hooked on AnySoldier.com and supporting our troops. This man is amazing. To think of what he has gone through and how he decided to run for office. We can all learn something from him. Good Work Congressman Johnson. I applaud you.

I wish the Congressman would move to my part of California and represent me, my thoughts, my family and friends. Any chance?

Way to go Air Force! Not bad for a zoomie!

Everyone please go send Rep Johnson a note of thanks. Patriots are too damn rare these days. We need to stand beside him - and behind him.

Just when I thought the solution to Congress was a pox on both their houses, a real man steps up and makes me proud to be a Texan.

We need more like this man. I like the way he closed his speech: "Always Faithful"

Sounds like a Marine, doesn't he?

Congressman Johnson makes it clear that we are not only in a war of military might, but a war of perserverance and idealogy. Anytime we intercept an enemy communication that reveals weakness, frustration or fatigue we are immediately heartened and our morale rises. Conversely, when the enemy discovers that there is dissension, weakness and indecision on our part they are equally heartened and their morale and determination rises. We can not lose this war, we can only be forced to leave by our own Congress and Media. Sadly, war is not waged as in the past. In today's political environment do you think Harry Truman could drop atomic bombs on Japan? Could we have firebombed Tokyo, Berlin and Dresden? Surely, the object of war must be to end it as quickly as possible with massive and unrelenting force. The US military knows where the real enemy is, so let the dogs of war off their leashes despite the New York Times, John Murtha and their ilk.

Monte

Makes me proud to be a Texan. I hope those in congress actually listen to the Honorable Sam Johnson. Thank you for your service.
